From July 1, the price of Bulgarian bread will increase. This became clear from the last session of the 49th Parliament.

Instead of extending the zero rate until December 31, 2024, the cap falls on June 30.
This became clear after today in the plenary hall the deputies did not accept the Bill for Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Personal Income Taxes. Importers were Yordan Tsonev and Temenuzka Petkova.
In this way, the people's representatives did not accept the decision approved by the Budget Commission that the zero rate should remain, and that the markup for selling bread in shops be up to 15%.
Ultimately, there will be no limit for merchants.
According to the chairman of the Commission, Yordan Tsonev, the proposal should not be related to the political situation in the country. PP-DB asked the Ministry of Finance to show estimates whether there were benefits for consumers from the zero rate, or whether they were only for traders.
