The Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (KEVR) will decide in a closed meeting today at 15:00 what the price of natural gas will be for the month of May, during which "Bulgargaz" to sell natural gas to final suppliers and to persons who have been issued a license for the production and transmission of thermal energy, BTA reported.
During the open meeting, which was held at the KEVR on April 29, the head of the department "Prices, market analysis and pricing" in "Bulgargaz" Lyudmila Vitanova said that the public supplier expects the final proposed price of natural gas for May to be about 5-6 percent lower than April's. She indicated that the price for this month is expected to be between 55 and 56 leva per megawatt hour (MWh).
BTA reminds that KEVR confirmed the price of natural gas for April of BGN 58.84 per MWh, excluding prices for access, transmission, excise duty and VAT.
In accordance with the requirements of the regulations "Bulgargaz" this morning will submit to KEVR up-to-date data forming the price of natural gas for this month. In connection with this, KEVR Chairman Ivan Ivanov demanded that the gas company also provide all new data on the "Balkan" gas hub tender, so that the regulator can carry out a full inspection and reflect them in its final decision, with which it will confirm the price of natural gas for the month.
