People of honorable work create meaning, well-being and a dignified future for all and this is the great lesson of Labor Day and of international workers' solidarity.
This is what President Rumen Radev wrote on the occasion of May 1, quoted by BTA.
"May Day is the personification of an enlightened society that respects and promotes honest work and builds its development on this conscious moral foundation. The history of this day is a chronicle of the struggle of generations for the rights of workers and to guarantee decent wages for labor," the president declared.
Without social justice, every society is doomed to uncertainty, division, contradictions and crises, which invalidate it and make it impossible to achieve major national goals, added the head of state.
According to Rumen Radev, restoring the sense of justice and guaranteeing citizens' social security are the path our country must take in order to deal with the alarming demographic trends and the depopulation of entire regions. "Bulgarians will have no doubts that our country is the place for their life and professional fulfillment, when working here guarantees adequate income, dignity, security and prospects to realize their talents. Happy May Day!", writes President Rumen Radev.
