Ceyhan Ibryamov, a politician close to Ahmed Dogan, entered arrest for 72 hours. Criminal proceedings have also begun against him, after the CEC and the Speaker of the Parliament had earlier accepted the prosecution's request to lift his immunity. Miroslav Todorov is the person from whom Ibryamov took 100,000 BGN.
"This thing is going to drag on. It will be a club in the pre-election rhetoric, especially between the two DPS. It may turn out to be a scenario acted out by other puppeteers. "Bulgarian society does not pay much attention to what is happening in the war between the two DPS", commented political analyst Prof. Zahari Zahariev in the program "The Day ON AIR".
Is Ceyhan Ibryamov involved in a mafia group?
The member of the public Prof. Stoyan Denchev stated that he trusts the Bulgarian judicial authorities because they cannot afford to manipulate the Bulgarian society. According to him, Jeyhan Ibryamov's wife is showing a protective function with the hunger strike.
"We are talking about a mafia group, if we assume that everything is true up to this point, which works on a large scale. A fuss is being made about something that should be under the protection of investigative secrecy," Prof. Zahariev added.
Prof. Denchev predicted to Bulgaria ON AIR that after the scandal with Ibryamov, even lower voter turnout is expected. Prof. Zahariev is of the opinion that this will not affect the voters.
The split in DPS
Prof. Denchev comments and disintegrates in DPS.
"Both parties are DPS, regardless of the name. You can see the disunity of the Bulgarian Turks. Potentially ethnic tensions may arise, especially if outside forces intervene. Mr. Dogan's wing is going to Turkey and looking for contacts, others are also looking," he pointed out.
Prof. Denchev is optimistic and believes that we will have a regular government.
According to Prof. Zahariev, the creation of a government depends on what percentages GERB will take - what will be its relative weight.
Prof. Denchev saw two possibilities for forming a government. According to him, it is less likely to form a government without GERB and PP-DB. He believes that it is possible to form a government with GERB, PP-DB and ITN.
"If four parties have to form a government, they will not succeed. If they do three - they may succeed", explained Prof. Denchev.
Both urged Bulgarians to come out and vote in the upcoming early parliamentary elections on October 27
