&bdquo "Buying votes is corruption and we must look at this phenomenon within the framework of the fight against corruption."
This is what he said in an interview for the show “This Morning“ Dimitar Gardev from “There is such a people”.
Gardev is a candidate for MP from Sofia MIR 24 and Pazardzhik MIR 13 in the upcoming early parliamentary elections on October 27.
„We categorically condemn this ugly phenomenon, because it is a replacement of the citizens' vote, hence the future government”, added the candidate for deputy from ITN.
He recalled that in recent years there were at least 9 anti-corruption institutions in Bulgaria, but this did not solve the corruption problem.
The reason, according to him, is that any political power that takes control of these structures begins to use them to fight its opponents.
„Our position is that this phenomenon should be fought with truly comprehensive measures and with objective bodies”, stated Gardev.
Regarding the proposal to remove the chairman of KONPI, Anton Slavchev, he announced that this was not a good decision because there was no opportunity to elect a new chairman.
„If we have to replace Anton Slavchev with Slavcho Antonov, this is not a decision”, the ITN representative specified.
In the next parliament, Slavi Trifonov's party will insist on amendments to the changes in the Constitution.
