Pekanov: One meeting of the National Assembly will not save the second tranche under the PVA - 1

< p>The recovery plan is as it is - these are the things Bulgaria must do. We have a program of laws and modernization. Now we are apparently giving up the money under PVU because we have to change laws. This was stated to bTV by Atanas Pekanov, former deputy prime minister for management of European funds in the "Donev" office, quoted by novini.bg.

"One session of the National Assembly will not save the second tranche, because five things must be accepted - three on the rule of law and separately on the Roadmap,' Pekanov added.
"Years ago there was a huge protest in front of the Council of Ministers because of the coal plants. Then we agreed that the closure would be in 2038 with a Road Map", he added.

"The European institutions' patience with us has run out because of the Recovery Plan problem."

"Thanks to the Plan, the changes for the chief prosecutor happened", revealed Atanas Pekanov.

"As of today, we expect the second of a total of 7 payments," added the former deputy prime minister.
Is there a hole in the budget?

"We have a big hole in the budget of BGN 18 billion. This happened because of the expenses, which were raised a lot in recent years. Capital expenditures were reduced, such as for hospitals and infrastructure repairs, and those for social expenditures were increased."
