Bulgaria has not yet submitted the corrections for its projects in the Recovery and Resilience Plan. This is what the European Commission responded to NOVA's inquiry. It states that only we have not submitted our projects.
Brussels encourages Sofia to do this as soon as possible. Thus, our country is getting closer to losing funds. The second tranche, for which we expect to receive money already over a year, is in the amount of 1.4 billion euros. The deadline for the European Commission to receive the amended projects was first in September, and the latest postponement was between October 15 and 20. But nothing was ever submitted to Brussels. Thus, an amount of EUR 266 million from the second payment is expected to be frozen.
The Ministry of Finance indicated that the reason for another delay is that the deputies did not gather to vote on the changes.
