"We will adopt a decision that will allocate nearly 35 million from the budget to provide an Easter supplement to nearly 700,000 pensioners who live below the poverty line, regardless of all the ill-intentioned comments on this topic," said Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov before today's meeting of the Council of Ministers.
In his words, this is a sign of empathy that Bulgarian society - not the government, not the state, is making so that the bright Easter holidays can be celebrated.
