"Siyana was a child with a mission on this black earth. To do good! She saved animals, fed the homeless, she wanted to help every child in trouble! Her food card in the school cafeteria always ran out very quickly. I dream of her calling me again asking me to top up her money, because she spent it buying her classmates a sandwich, juice, chocolate… I didn't scold her."
This is how another emotional post on Facebook by Nikolay Popov - the father of 12-year-old Siyana, who died in a serious accident a few days ago, quoted by bTV, begins.
In addition to painting pictures that she dreamed of selling and donating to sick children, Siyana made bracelets from beads. She also had an Instagram page and put a lot of love into this.
"She said she was collecting coins! She sold them for 5 leva, maybe there was a leva left. With some of them, she would buy new materials. And with the rest, she would help sick and poor children. And so she went, doing good,", Siyana's father continues his story.
On the fatal day, she had an important order - to send a gift of her bracelets to a sick child - a disabled person, who does not go to school, but studies from home. She had sent it to other such children before.
"She had been worried for several days. It was important to do this. Her grandfather, who was coming home from work at the fire department, could not refuse her. He lived for her….. She got into the car. She sat behind the wheel. Siyana was behind him, her grandmother next to her in the back seat… to protect her… They have been watching over her since she was a baby... Everyone wears their seatbelts. Grandpa is a strict driver and very careful… yet he saves people on the road. I was calm when he rode with him... They set off for Lukovit. They sent the important shipment and set off again for Telish. So that they could be together… but alas… we will never be together with her in this world", writes Nikolay Popov.
"A truck flying at breakneck speed approaches them with zigzag movements. Grandpa stops and turns her off... he must have been driving at 40-50 km/h... She waits in horror for the monster to attack them. It literally crushes them... Siyana has a crushed skull and a bruised face. That beautiful face with angelic blue eyes. I will never see him again... People come to help. The driver of the truck doesn't get out. They start helping them. A doctor stops on the road and holds the bleeding head of my child. Thank him! The ambulances come, I don't know when... it wasn't fast", describes the father of the 12-year-old child.
Siyana goes with her grandmother to the hospital. Breathe, breathe... she breathes to the entrance and there her soul flies to heaven.
"His colleagues are fighting for her grandfather, at first he is conscious... he wants to die. He asks them for the black bags in which they put the bodies of all the victims on this fucking road... he realized that Siyana, his sunshine, had been seriously injured... At that time, her mother calls me, she can't tell me what happened. I only understand that Siyana is unwell and is on her way to the hospital. In the morning I told myself I'm happy that we are alive and well... I died... that's how I die every day, several times a minute. I die and get up. I have to continue because of her. Because of the other children we have to save. Because of you, who give me courage, love and support", writes Nikolay Popov.
"I hug the sick children that Siyana helped. I love them like my own. I want to see them and tell them that Siyana loved them! They are not alone and we are all with them. I will die and get up for a long time to come. Me, her mother, and all those who adore her. We have no choice! I will fight to ensure that this never happens again! Come and pray for Siyana! Let's say NO to the murders on the road, calmly permitted by the state and our sleeping society. Siyana woke us up! Be awake! We are Siyana", continues Nikolay Popov.
He appealed to all of Bulgaria to come at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 13 - Palm Sunday, in front of the church-monument "St. Alexander Nevski" in Sofia, so that we can "pray for Siyana and say NO to death and murder, NO to indifference. Let's demand the right to life!"
"Let's be with her on Lazarus Day too. She was also a Lazarus", concludes Nikolay Popov.
