„I hope GERB-SDF returns to the presidency. I hardly see a competitor at this stage. A candidacy is not being discussed yet, but there are worthy figures like Boyko Borisov. He is one of the options for a candidate. I plan to fight for this institution, because it is important for us and Bulgaria”, said in the studio of “Offensive” the deputy chairman of the GERB-SDF PG and leader of the UDF, Rumen Hristov. According to him, Borisov would be more useful as Prime Minister.
„If PP-DB had entered the government, a constitutional majority could have been gathered. Now we have seen a weak, fragmented opposition”, specified Hristov.
According to him, the current formula of government works and it would be good to continue in this form.
„I would not say that we are hostage to the immunities of Jeyhan Ibryamov and Mario Rangelov”, said Hristov and added that in his opinion, APS is jealous because support for „DPS-New Beginning” is growing, while that for APS is decreasing. In his words, „DPS-New Beginning” provides support for important and fundamental things.
Hristov emphasized that both votes of no confidence – that of PP-DB and that of “Vazrazhdane”, would not be successful. In his words, if there are early elections, they should be after the presidential elections, because then the attitude of the citizens would be seen.
He offered condolences to the parents of the deceased 12-year-old Siyana.
“If the “Hemus” highway had been built, this would not have happened. For four years, no repairs have been carried out and no highways are being built because of the colleagues from PP”, emphasized Hristov.
“There is a lot of talk about legal changes. We are limiting individual sections, but the general solution is the construction of the “Hemus” highway, he said.
The leader of the UDF also commented on the tariffs imposed by the USA. According to him, Donald Trump was trying to attract capital, not goods.
