Stanislav Balabanov: If the RIA continues to show no reaction after the tragedy with Siyana, its boss should resign - 1

If the RIA continues to show no reaction after the tragedy with Siyana, its boss should resign. This is what the MP from the ITN Stanislav Balabanov thinks.
„It is a pity that something like this has to happen in order to open the door to making final and clear decisions. Since he is hiding, since he has no arguments on the subject, since he does not want to provide information, then let engineer Yordan Valchev resign”, explained Balabanov. According to him, the regional minister Ivan Ivanov has taken action and it is clear that his department is working.

„Issues orders for inspections. That is, the ministry is working, the RIA is silent. It is logical that whoever bears responsibility should take it and resign if necessary, because in this way it will send a signal to Bulgarian society that there are actually those who have been punished,” Balabanov explained.

Trump's tariffs are the right decision for the Americans, ITN believes.

„In my opinion, Bulgaria is too far from the political decisions in the US at the moment. Because if you remember, after Donald Trump was elected president, almost the media in Bulgaria said „Now how will the political class react?” This is more in the realm of conspiracy theories, since Bulgarian politicians and statesmen in general who manage the processes in a particular country should first think about it, and not worry about other countries,” the MP also said.

“If the American president has now imposed a 34% tariff on China, the Chinese state previously imposed 67%. The European Union previously imposed a 39% tariff on the US, and now Trump has responded with 20%”, Balabanov explained.

Should Interior Minister Daniel Mitov resign over an alleged police cover-up over a smuggling channel?

We recall that a protest took place in front of the Ministry of Interior yesterday. The demonstration, under the slogan "Out with Peevski and the mafia from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the government", was organized by the civil movement "BOETS". The main demand - the resignation of the Minister of Internal Affairs Daniel Mitov. As a motive for the dissatisfaction, the protesters pointed out the case of a cigarette smuggling channel in Plovdiv. The day before, Mitov announced that an inspection had been carried out on the case, and the data from it had been classified and sent to the Prosecutor's Office. At his request, the Deputy Director of the Directorate of the Bulgarian Anti-Corruption Bureau, Kalin Litov, was also removed, for whom it later became clear that he had been reassigned to a position that had nothing to do with the directorate.

„Since Minister Mitov has taken concrete actions and is defending him, then the ministry has done its job. From now on, we will check what the effect will be. If there continues to be a problem in this segment, everyone will bear responsibility and this political case will end”, Balabanov believes.

Is Peevski part of the coalition or part of the opposition?

„Of the opposition, of course. The majority in parliament is clearly equal. 121 against 119. The colleagues from the DPS-DPS continue to be part of the majority. From then on, Peevski is part of those 119, which, no matter how many votes of no confidence there are, cannot be successful, because a government is overthrown with 121 deputies”, claims Balabanov.
