The government will remain as long as GERB leader Boyko Borisov decides that we will remain in power.
This was stated to the Bulgarian National Radio by Denitsa Sacheva, deputy chairwoman of the GERB-SDF parliamentary group.
She emphasized that the ruling majority has not held negotiations with the leader of "DPS-New Beginning" Delyan Peevski on the support he received in the no-confidence vote:
"Unlike the MRF-DPS, they (DPS-NN) have neither a deputy speaker of the National Assembly, nor do they have chairmen and deputy chairmen of parliamentary committees. The search for discourse through appointments is starting to become a verbal trap. What policies are the MRF-DPS putting on the table for consideration, and not which person exactly should be appointed to which municipal or state office".
There is an agreement on a parliamentary majority, which also includes the MRF-DPS, but we do not have quotas, Sacheva pointed out.
"We do not even have quotas among ourselves. Where there are candidates who, after discussion in the Joint Governance Council (JGC), are deemed capable of implementing the policies we have set, then these people can be considered as appointees," she explained.
In her words, no-confidence votes waste parliamentary time:
"People want stability and whoever tries to be a destabilizing factor again, regardless of the motives behind it, will be the big loser. In terms of the strategic goals we have set, only those who seek stability and understanding are the winners, not those who seek disintegration and scandals."
In connection with the stated intention of "Vazrazhdane" to submit a new vote of no confidence, this time on the topic of corruption, Sacheva insisted that she had not heard of a single corruption scandal since this government existed.
If the PP-DB wants to work for the eurozone, this will be done through real political actions, she emphasized.
