A weak earthquake with a magnitude of 2.1 on the Richter scale was registered in Northeastern Bulgaria on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 12:27 p.m.
According to the map of the National Seismological Center at the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography – BAS, the epicenter of the earthquake was near the village of Preselentsi in the municipality of General Toshevo, Dobrich region, 9.5 km southeast of the town of General Toshevo and 403 km from the capital Sofia.
It shook at a depth of 13.2 km below the earth's surface.
There is no evidence that the earthquake was felt by people.
