Delyan Peevski is taking control of the state in terms of personnel. Corruption has eaten the left in Bulgaria. Peevski, Radev and Borisov are regrouping according to the situational interest.
This was stated to the Bulgarian National Radio by Kornelia Ninova, former chairwoman of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, now leader of "Unruly Bulgaria".
According to her, the critical remarks between Delyan Peevski and President Rumen Radev have disappeared.
"Recently, Radev's statements have always started with "I expect", and he has real levers for action. Why does he expect the deputies to appeal the election results, and not appeal them to the Constitutional Court, he went to legitimize this government, he went to legitimize the new constitutional judge, elected by this deep state and this majority. Before, Borisov praised the "Botas" agreement, now he is against it and says that it will bury us, which is a fact. They make hidden agreements and according to the situational interest, the three of them - Peevski, Radev and Borisov - constantly regroup among themselves," summarized Kornelia Ninova.
"Peevski's power comes from the weaknesses, fear and dependencies of Boyko Borisov.
He keeps Borisov with information, with his fear that the cases against him will be reopened. It is striking that this power is only in words - through talk, Peevski demonstrates power, but in reality there is no result for the people. ... During this PR, that he works for the people, he continues to control the state, because Borisov is weak and cowardly. This is happening, "she commented.
The demand for justice and the fight against the controlled state unites the protests that have been taking place in Bulgaria in recent days, she believes: "They have potential".
"I did not sell out to the mafia and I did not embrace the deep state. I did not betray my people," said Cornelia Ninova, emphasizing that "Unruly Bulgaria" will be irreconcilable with the deep state and corruption. She was categorical that corruption has eaten the left in Bulgaria:
"30 left-wing parties united before the elections in "BSP-United Left" and became victims of the deep state. The leaders of these parties betrayed the left-thinking people for 5 posts in the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet.
This is the most anti-social government, she believes:
"You cannot freeze all social payments at a time when all prices are going up. There is currently no left-wing politics, given that 30 left-wing parties have united and are in this government. ... The Easter supplement is a mockery of the people, it should be for all pensioners," Ninova recalled.
According to her, Budget 2025 should have been a plan for economic stability:
"The budget is terribly corrupt, there are 7 billion leva invested, with which it is not known what will happen", the former leader of the BSP is worried.
According to her, the vote of no confidence for corruption, which was submitted by MECH, is "very meaningful and timely", but the previous vote on foreign policy was dividing the opposition, not uniting against the government:
"It doesn't matter how long the government has been in power, but what measures they take. These deepen the government, they don't just not fight it".
