The Sofia City Court dismissed the case for document fraud against former investigator Petyo Petrov, better known as Petyo Euroto. The decision was announced in his absence, as Petrov is missing, the BNR reports.
According to the prosecutor's office, with false documents, the former investigator received gold coins and bars worth more than 1,300,000, owned by Yavor Zlatanov.
Judge Miroslav Georgiev closed the case due to significant procedural violations in the indictment. In another definition, the magistrate refused to issue a European Arrest Warrant for Petrov due to the lack of new circumstances indicating that he had left the country. In the courtroom, Petrov was represented by an official lawyer.
