The Serbian police arrested two Bulgarian citizens on the Belgrade-Niš highway near the town of Velika Plana for aggressive behavior, the TANYUG agency reported, quoted by BTA.
The Smederevo Police Department reported that the two Bulgarians, G.G., 23, and I.G., 48, are accused of having verbally and physically attacked the driver of a car (48 years old) and his son (21 years old) yesterday with their hands and feet, as well as with a wooden and metal baton. The father suffered serious injuries, while the son suffered minor injuries.
The incident occurred after a queue of cars formed on the highway due to work activities on the bridge over the Yasenitsa River.
G.G. is suspected of breaking the windshield and damaging the roof of the victims' car, BTA reported.
The Bulgarian suspects have been ordered to remain in custody.
