One of the bullets missed his head by millimeters, striking his right ear and causing profuse bleeding. Fortunately, he was not seriously injured, his headquarters and security services said.
Trump himself said he heard a whooshing sound after the shots started, then felt a bullet go through the top of his right ear. He thanked the Secret Service and law enforcement for their quick response.
