Greek authorities have arrested a total of eight people in connection with the incident in a bar in Halkidiki in which several people were injured. It is not specified whether the last three arrested are Bulgarian citizens, BNR reports.
The three victims are under police guard at the Poligiros hospital and are to be questioned after the doctors give permission. The version that one of the injured was in possession of an undeclared weapon is still considered the main one, but no shots were fired. The main suspect in the shooting remains a security guard of the establishment, who is still being sought.
Witnesses identified him as the perpetrator. The media have released footage of the incident and are discussing different versions of the conflict, including possible motives related to business competition.
In some media comments, it is also assumed that the scandal is a consequence of the desire of the competition to close the establishment, which is popular and profitable.
The case arouses wide public interest, and the media mentions the intervention of a volunteer rescuer who happened to be at the scene and provided first aid to the injured, actually saving their lives.
