Soldiers from the special squad "Ahmat" (a formation of Chechen special forces) have liquidated mercenaries who speak German and Polish. This was reported by TASS on Wednesday, citing a statement by the commander of the unit with the call sign "Kashtan".
"Here we encountered foreign mercenaries. They were Germans and Poles, which we found out from their dialogues. Among those we captured after the battles, however, there were none, which means they were eliminated," said "Kashtan".
Earlier it was reported that in the past few days the militants captured eight Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk region and destroyed two enemy groups.

Using FPV drones, the squads also destroyed an American Stryker armored personnel carrier and 2 Hummers.
We remind you that earlier Russia reported about fan mercenaries in Ukraine.
Ukrainian special forces earlier in August captured a group of more than 100 Russian soldiers in the western Kursk region. This was the largest group of soldiers captured at the same time. Among them were also Chechen soldiers.
Meanwhile, the operational headquarters of the Kursk region restricted entry to the city of Kurchatov - near the nuclear power plant, due to Ukraine's ongoing offensive operations in the region.
"With the decision of the operational staff to conduct an anti-terrorist operation in the Kursk region from August 29, additional security measures will be introduced in the Kurchatov region and at the Kursk NPP", the announcement states.
The new measures are aimed at protecting the safety of the population in the city, noted the headquarters.
