The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky reported to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky about the situation in the Pokrovsk and Kursk sectors.
This is what the head of state said in his evening video address, reports Ukrinform.
"There was a report from the commander in chief. Pokrovsk and other directions in the Donetsk region. The situation is extremely difficult, the key Russian efforts and their greatest forces are concentrated there, and now the resilience of each of our parts, our ability to destroy the occupier, is very important," he said.
Zelensky thanked every soldier and every commander for holding the positions.
"The commander-in-chief also reported on our operation in the Kursk region. We continue to expand the territory under our control in the designated areas near the border of Ukraine. Today, like every day, our exchange fund was also replenished. Thank you warriors! This is something that will help bring home many of our people from Russian captivity. Now we also have to understand that all the pressure we've put on Russia means they can't put more pressure on our Donetsk region," Zelensky said.
Since the beginning of the day, 111 battles have taken place on the front line, and a significant increase in enemy activity has been registered in the Kupyansk and Kurakhovo sectors.
