Romanian President Klaus Iohannis will be on an official visit today to Montenegro at the invitation of his colleague Yakov Milatovich, reported Agerpress, quoted by BTA.
This will be the first official visit of a Romanian president to Montenegro since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the presidential administration notes in a press release.
Klaus Iohannis will be received by President Jakov Milatovic at the official residence in Cetinje.
The two will discuss bilateral cooperation at the political and diplomatic level, as well as in the field of defense. The support for the European path of Montenegro and the main challenges in the field of security in the regional and global plan will also be topics of the talks, informs the administration of the Romanian president.
Johanis and Milatovic will also discuss the possibilities for increasing investments and trade exchanges, as well as strengthening contacts in the fields of energy, tourism, agriculture, interior affairs, science, education and culture.
