The Speaker of the Russian State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, the lower house of parliament, announced today on "Telegram" that he is leaving for India for a series of "important" negotiations, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"We will be in Delhi by tonight, important meetings and negotiations are planned for tomorrow", wrote Volodin, who is a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"India is a strategic partner. We have long-standing relations of trust and mutually beneficial cooperation with it. It is necessary to develop our contacts in all areas," he added.
