Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that a key part of his upcoming talks with his US counterpart Donald Trump is to ensure that US aid to his country will not be interrupted, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"I will meet with President Trump. It is important for me and for all of us around the world that American aid does not stop. The path to peace requires strength," Zelensky said in his video address tonight.
The Ukrainian president is due to arrive in Washington on Friday to sign a minerals agreement. He had earlier said that the success of the agreement depends on the outcome of his talks with Trump.
