One person was killed and another was injured after a Ukrainian drone strike hit a car in Russia's Belgorod region, which borders Ukraine, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
In a post on "Telegram" Gladkov said a man was killed in the town of Graivoron, near the Ukrainian border. Another man who was injured was taken to hospital.
Ukrainian forces frequently attack Belgorod region and other border regions. Ukrainian troops launched a surprise offensive last August in the Russian Kursk region, adjacent to Belgorod region.
Last night, Russian air defenses shot down 19 Ukrainian drones, the Russian Defense Ministry announced.
12 of them were destroyed over the territory of Oryol region, 3 over the territory of Kursk region, 3 over the territory of Belgorod region and one over the territory of Crimea, the Russian military announced.
