The vaccine against cancer, which is being developed at the Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology "Gamalea" to the Ministry of Health of Russia, makes melanomas and metastases disappear. This was stated by the head of the center Alexander Ginzburg.
„We see in the pre-clinic that the tumor – the melanoma – it just divides, disappears, and not only the tumor itself, but even the metastases disappear”, Gunzburg told RIA Novosti, adding that experts will soon test the effect of the drug on other types of cancer, in particular lung, kidney and the pancreas.
It was previously reported that the authorization allowing specialists to use the cancer vaccine could be obtained as early as January 2025.
Meanwhile, the therapeutic anticancer vaccine Simavax (CIMAvax-EGF) has been registered in Belarus. It was developed and produced by the Center for Molecular Immunology of Cuba.
