BSP has been a hostage of Ninova in recent years. This opinion was expressed in the studio of “Your day” Maya Manolova from “BSP– United Left”. “With yesterday's act, the registration with the CEC, they showed that they are not aiming for the registration of the BSP, but the satisfaction of their personal ambitions. In the end, Ninova resigned and instead of behaving with dignity like all the previous former chairmen of the party – none of them behaved in the shameful way that Ninova did. To work against one's own party”, she emphasized.
Manolova also commented on the words of the exceptions from BSP Georgi Svilenski, who stated in the morning block of NovaNews that “BSP has shown dependence on Peevski and Borisov”.
"I suggest we follow actions, not spells and bare talk. During the protests in 2020, both I and my organization were together with hundreds of thousands of Bulgarian citizens in the square for days. The slogans then were “Without Borisov and without Peevski. Without GERD and DPS”. Then we called Ninova, who was in the National Assembly and supported this delegitimized parliament, to come out to the square. Both Ninova, Svilenski, and the rest of the people's representatives from the parliamentary group preferred to remain in the parliament and strengthen this institution that has lost legitimacy and the trust of the citizens, she emphasized.
She was adamant that she “showed with her actions that she is not addicted”. “When I left the position of ombudsman and came out against Borisov and Fandakova in their greatest strength in the mayoral elections in Sofia. I have shown it with my actions, she stressed. And commented on his words that „ proposed Delyan Peevski in 2013 as chairman of DANS, because people like Mr. Svilenski and the other men in BSP refused to take responsibility”. “They were bending back then. The man who was at the protests with his face and endured reproaches and insults and answered questions – it was me And when three months later in the NOVA studio I said it – then Stanishev, Oresharski, and Mestan – those who actually led the whole process and suggested Peevski refused to answer. Of course I didn't suggest it. But I always stood my ground and took responsibility, unlike the circle around Nineveh, who always successfully hid behind her.
In her words, “her political biography has shown that she never hid or bowed down.”. “Then I took this responsibility as a joke because of people like Svilensky who did not dare to tell the truth. Of course, I did not propose it (note: ed. Peevski). All Bulgarian citizens know the truth – it was a decision of the chairmen of the parliamentary groups – of Stanishev and Mestan and of Oresharski, who was prime minister, she stressed.
Manolova stated again: “I suggest not to believe what Mr. Svilensky was saying (note ed. in the studio of “Tvoyat den”)”. “Were they the comfortable opposition, the domesticated opposition, which played the ball with Borisov and in the end not a single decision in favor of the people was adopted”, she recalled.
„But the main question is, why didn't Nineveh come out to the square then? Because he supported them inside the parliament – namely Borisov, Peevski, GERB and DPS. Against Svilenski's feelings, I put facts that can be checked. I have already clearly and categorically said that “Stand up, Bulgaria”, entering the left-wing union, has set two clear conditions. Regarding President Radev, with whom Ninova, Svilenski and company waged a fratricidal war, which reduced the result of the BSP to 7 percent. And secondly – without any collaborations with GERB and DPS. I repeat this and have said it in every forum and every media appearance in the last two months. It is not necessary for Svilenski to call me now, and it would be better for him to answer if, before the dissolution of the previous parliament, they were not in agreements with GERB to form a government?”, Manolova asked.
