A little before 19:00, the first flight with evacuated Bulgarian citizens from Lebanon landed at Sofia Airport.
„We are extremely grateful for the entire organization and coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev. Connecting with people was very fast. Our embassy in Lebanon did a very good job. We got home safe and sound. Until now, I have not been to a country where there is such a threat, but with each passing day, the situation is becoming more and more serious, our compatriot, who arrived on the first flight, says, quoted by Nova TV.
“I want to express my big thanks to the Prime Minister and the Bulgarian Embassy in Beirut. The embassy received me at 03:00 at night, processed my documents and today we are already in Bulgaria. We didn't take the situation seriously at first, but it got really bad. I have acquaintances from other countries who have not yet been evacuated. The first flights to evacuate foreign citizens are from Germany and Bulgaria. My friends from Germany say they were asked for money to be evacuated to their country”, explained another passenger.
