Denkov: Borisov should say that he is ready to accept the anti-corruption laws that have been in place for a year - 1

In "Face to Face" on bTV, former Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov commented on today's statement of the leader of the "DPS - New Beginning" Delyan Peevski, in which Peevski calls "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" "a bunch of political cartoons" and claims that since the time of the office "Denkov" from the coalition wanted to ally with him against GERB leader Boyko Borisov.
This statement has two main purposes. The first is to warn Borisov not to think that he can do without Peevski. The second objective is the threat of physical confrontation with politicians. There is a message that he is ready to send out his people to threaten politicians, said the PP-DB representative, quoted by novini.bg.
This type of threats, which earlier this year started against teachers, against journalists, will continue against political scientists and politicians. After the control of part of the media, control of the political system begins. This makes a person with a very low rating who wants to reach the position he has set himself as a goal, the former prime minister added.

The question is where Bulgaria will go. GERB must say if they will go in this direction with Peevski or if they will isolate Peevski and return to democratic principles. There is no third time. Peevski in management means a disaster for Bulgaria, stressed Nikolay Denkov.

Borisov should say that he is ready to accept the anti-corruption laws that have been in place for a year, to remove the baton of the anti-corruption commission, to make it clear that no one will be used as a baton against political opponents. We are ready to start the parliament, if it is clear that the parliament will go in this direction, explained the chairman of the PG of "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria".

These are the same questions that were in the memorandum that GERB never dared to sign and Maria Gabriel did not become prime minister. There is nothing new - what you see is Borisov bowing down because he is not ready to make a decision to send Peevski away and Bulgaria to move forward. If GERB supports our requests, then we can sit down to discuss, this chairman can also be from GERB, but they must clearly say that they sign the declaration for a sanitary cordon around Peevski. If GERD wants to do something, it should be clear that I can't achieve it with the recipe that has failed several times – we are the first and the others will do what we say, Denkov pointed out.
Bulgaria has two possible directions. One is the one Peevski wants – with clubs and threats, the other is the direction in which we should go and build our institutions, he added.

The former prime minister specified that from "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" they want a full inspection of the election results by sections, because of the violations during the vote. The signals are from hundreds of sections. Obviously, there is a serious problem, stressed Nikolay Denkov.

He also commented on the testimony of the former head of the "Customs" Agency. Petya Bankova, in which it is claimed that the former Minister of Finance Asen Vassilev was recruiting at the Customs.

This woman, after 2-3 months at the head of Customs, was accused of smuggling, which has been known for decades. No one is being investigated, and everything is directed against Asen Vassilev. The woman is detained, she is separated from her children, she gets cancer and ten days before she is released, she signs the statement so that she can be treated. These are methods from Vyshinsky's time. What is written in Bankova's testimony has nothing to do with reality. Someone wrote her these statements and she had to sign them. The most striking of them is this, and it is very easily verifiable - we have made an open public procurement, the caretaker government is the one that made the choice without a public procurement. In the same way with the helicopters, for which the testimony suggests that we did something, and it was done by the interim government of Galab Donev. I claim that Bankova signed these statements in order to see her children, to go to treatment, because otherwise she will die. No one in "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" he was not involved in patronizing smuggling channels, assured Denkov.
