Glavchev on Schengen: So far, things are going according to plan, the final decision will be made on December 12 - 1

The meeting of the Interior Ministers of Austria, Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary, as the host, is the penultimate step on the way for Schengen. European Commissioner Ylva Johansson was also at this meeting, she said: “Applause for Bulgaria and Romania”. I think this is enough, but once again I emphasize – the final decision will be taken on December 12 at the Council of Interior Ministers of the European Union. So far things are going according to plan, this meeting was to report the progress of Bulgaria and Romania in the direction of the fight against illegal migration. This was stated by Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev to journalists, quoted by Nova TV.
„We had already met the technical criteria under the last government of Boyko Borisov. The partners from the Netherlands and then from Austria had their reasons for refusing then. However, very serious progress has now been reported and the Austrian Minister of the Interior said so, he stressed.
Regarding the package of measures for our country, which was mentioned by the Minister of the Interior of Hungary, the Prime Minister commented: „There will be joint actions if a decision is made to join the overland Schengen, from both Bulgaria and Romania , Hungary, Austria and “Frontex”, in order not to distort the pattern of civil flow, as a result of the abolition of border control. There will be control to monitor what the trend is and to be able to react promptly”.

„Finance Minister Lyudmila Petkova presents the political parties with measures both to limit expenses and to increase revenues in both directions”, noted Glavchev on the topic of the state budget for next year.
The Prime Minister announced that he hoped a regular government would be elected. “But first, the President of the National Assembly must really be elected. This is already unprecedented. We work unlike other institutions, which must work in the interest of the people, because that's why they chose them, he added.
