The Chairman of the BSP - Sofia Ivan Takov will join the peaceful march "People, be vigilant! No to fascism", organized by the Bulgarian Anti-Fascist Union and the City Council of the BSP - Sofia. It will take place on Sunday, February 9, at 12:00. The anti-fascists will first gather in front of the Monument to the Unknown Soldier, where wreaths and flowers will be laid. Then they will head to "St. Nedelya" Square. At 12:30, the official procession will start from there, which will end at the fountain on "Atanas Burov" Square. in front of the Presidency.

"This march against fascism is our traditional manifestation, with which we declare our categorical position against the holding of the Lukovmarch, said Ivan Takov. - We cannot allow fascism to march on the streets of Sofia. Only a week ago, on February 1, we saw it aggressively, arrogantly and with impunity passing along "Graf Ignatiev" Str. and "Patriarh Evtimiy" Str. Now they are preparing the Lukovmarch for the end of February. I call on Mayor Vasil Terziev to strictly adhere to the regulations of the Sofia Municipality and Bulgarian laws and not to allow this fascist gathering in the heart of Sofia. Fascism is a great evil. No matter how much some distort and falsify history, destroy monuments, try to erase memory, the facts are undeniable. During the deadliest and bloodiest conflict in human history, World War II, the "brown plague" claimed the lives of nearly 85 million people. In their memory and in the name of future generations and their future, we are obliged today not only to expose and point fingers at every manifestation of fascism, but to do everything possible to prevent it. At all costs! Because events like the Lukovmarch are a bell for us - a signal of an imminent threat of rekindling the fires of fascism that have flared up in recent years. We have no right to allow it!".
