The main problem of the state at the moment is the budget, the lack of money. Whichever symbol of bad you choose in relation to the budget, you will not be mistaken. This was said in the program "Face to Face" on BTV by the chairman of the PG of "There is such a people" and deputy chairman of the party, Toshko Yordanov.
The state is out of money, unable to perform its basic functions due to the madness in the last 3 years with the budgets compiled by Asen Vassilev. The state has no money, it has to make do with what it has. It will probably be necessary to take out loans in order to perform basic functions. The fix will probably happen later, in a year or two. It is very easy to destroy a system and it is much more difficult to fix it, it requires a lot of time, said Yordanov.
With the advent of Assen Vassilev in 3 years, the state debt has increased by 20 billion. At the moment, it is very difficult to make a budget with a 3% deficit. Such are the intentions, I hope they succeed. There are proposed measures to increase collection, since the gray sector is 30%. It is important to stop the tendency to spend more than you have, said the chairman of the PG of "There is such a people".
In response to a question about his party's position on the planned record increase in salaries in the "Security" and "Defense", which is being prepared by the government, Toshko Yordanov noted: "We have an idea of what needs to be done, we are talking to the unions, but this is not the biggest problem, these are 2 billion annually. The problem is in the huge social costs and in the excessive increase in the minimum wage in the last 3 years, which affects the average wage".
GERB will bear the blame for voting for Asen Vassilev's stupid budget. GERB did the wrong thing then, so now they have no choice – neither they nor we, he emphasized.
Yordanov also commented on the mass replacement of members of independent commissions, institutions, regulators and other bodies whose mandates have expired, which is being started by the ruling party.
There are rules, these are the rules that have always been there, it's just that the selection procedure is starting for the first time, because in recent years it has only been talked about. We are against proposals from non-governmental organizations because there are many doubts about them, such as their financing. There is no problem for parties to nominate a candidate, even if it is from a non-governmental organization or an independent candidate, so that the parties bear responsibility, the deputy chairman of "There are such people" also said.
