Kolyo Kolev: Peevski trying to position himself as a trade unionist, a prominent fighter against corruption - 1

It is more about groupings, not ideological differences.
This was said by sociologist Kolyo Kolev from the "Mediana" agency in an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio after the election of the BSP chairman.
According to him, the question before the party congress was whether the BSP would torpedo the government or confirm its stability, and an unequivocal answer was given.

"The possibility of this type of coalition is not denied. At least, post facto, after it was implemented, it was not denied either."

In the program "Before Everyone" Kolev outlined as key topics for leftists such as "Belene", the euro and Ukraine – "and these are the immediate ones". To these he added the entry into the free electricity market.
The big crisis facing the BSP is that in 7 years they are melting away and disappearing. The political elite is not saying what the people below want to hear. All the contradictions and problems that lie ahead should be articulated by the party leadership in front of their people, the sociologist pointed out.

Peevski is experiencing and trying to position himself as a trade unionist, a prominent fighter against corruption and in defense of the interests of the poor and the disadvantaged, emphasized Kolyo Kolev.
"Protesting is not bad, but when do you exhaust yourself with it alone? Peevski is not a new figure, he has his own past, layers in the past. Usually such parties can count on a breakthrough when they are new", he expressed his opinion and added that in this sense any formations of the "sword, whip, cleaver and club" type would have a better chance.

"They missed the historical time and demonstrated to them that they do not represent a subject in the big political life. Now comes the big reorientation. "Euro-Atlanticism suddenly turned out to be an empty phrase," Kolev believes regarding the EU's role in the latest developments surrounding Ukraine.
The life of a government that decides to send even peacekeeping troops to Ukraine will be very short, the sociologist is categorical. According to him, Bulgaria knows what the mood is in this direction.

"Whatever Europe decides, there should be a listening session here. For a small country, I don't think this is so bad. When the donkeys are kicking, the donkeys should be a little more careful."
