The mayor of the capital's "Vitosha" district Zarko Klinkov distanced himself from "Save Sofia" and declared himself independent. This was announced by him in a video address on social networks, quoted by novini.bg.
"I am resigning from "Save Sofia", the main reason is the lack of results from the work of "Save Sofia", he said.
The mayor emphasizes that for more than a year of city government, nothing has been done for the "Vitosha" district by "Save Sofia".
"Decision-making on basic problems is neglected and I can no longer tolerate such an attitude towards the region", adds Klinkov. He states that his priority is the interests of the residents of the region.
The district mayor of "Vitosha" shares the pressure and threats exerted against him by Boris Bonev and his associates. Klinkov's confession confirms the words about pressure exerted on the mayors from Bonev's party, also said by the district mayor of "Ilinden", who also left “Save Sofia”.

The mayor of “Vitosha” emphasizes that despite the total lack of support from “Save Sofia” they managed to implement over 14 thousand square meters of sidewalks, funding has been provided for street repairs, and the renovation of a school and two kindergartens has been completed.
