The Sofia District Court imposed a restraining order "restraining order" on actor Dimo Alexiev and did not proceed with the case on the merits. The reason is that he and his lawyer Mario Naydenov did not receive the indictment within the specified period, reports BTA. The restraining order is subject to appeal and protest.
Aleksiev is accused of driving while intoxicated.
The court indicated that the actor is married with several children, whom he takes care of. Also, the risk of him absconding is significantly underestimated, since today he voluntarily appeared at the hearing without being regularly summoned.
The judge also ruled that the Sofia Directorate of Internal Affairs should request the body camera recordings of the police officers who detained Alexiev for the period from 00:09 to 00:45 on November 12 last year.
We recall that on November 12, actor Dimov Alexiev was arrested behind the wheel after drinking alcohol. An on-site test determined that Alexiev was driving with 1.49 per mille of alcohol in his blood. On February 9, 2022, the district court approved a plea agreement with Alexiev for the same crime. At that time, he was caught driving with 1.69 per mille and received three months of probation, with three years of probation.
