The coalition is stable. It is normal to have disputes and different points of view. I think the government will remain. This was said by the MP from "BSP-United Left" Gabriel Valkov in "Offensive with Lyubo Ognyanov" on NOVA NEWS.
He said that "Democracy, Rights and Freedoms-DPS” held an emotional briefing, things escalated, but then calmed down. Valkov stressed that they did not seek support from "DPS - New Beginning” for the budget, but they cannot forbid anyone from supporting them. "It is reassuring for all citizens that the government remains. We have been stalling for 4 years. The budget is a consequence of years of irregular governments. We have a government in which “DPS - New Beginning” does not participate. There are no appointments for Peevski”, said Valkov.
The MP believes that it is right for “Democracy, Rights and Freedoms-DPS” to have deputy ministers, but this will happen as a result of debate and dialogue. They remain behind the candidacy of Rosen Karadimov for head of the Commission for Protection of Competition, because he is a proven expert and reject all attacks that he is a person with addictions.
Regarding the Speaker of the National Assembly Natalia Kiselova, Valkov emphasized that no one in the coalition is talking about removing her from office. He believes that she will last for many more years – "at least 4".
Gabriel Valkov emphasized that they will not vote to lift the immunity of the two MPs from "Democracy, Rights and Freedoms-DPS” and this is an internal party decision.
In connection with the geopolitical upheavals, Valkov called for the search for balance and the avoidance of extreme positions.
