82 years separate us from those memorable events when, in the atmosphere of oppression, of totalitarian darkness, of horror, Bulgarians from all social strata - clergymen, politicians, public figures, ordinary people, raised their voices to defend the right of their compatriots to live. They raised their voices, which are an emanation of humanity and humanism. This was stated by Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov in his speech in front of the Monument of Salvation in the capital.
The Prime Minister participated today in the March of Tolerance under the slogan “WE REMEMBER“, which marked the 82nd anniversary of the rescue of Bulgarian Jews and honored the memory of the Jews who died in the Nazi camps.
According to Prime Minister Zhelyazkov, today, when we should be worthy bearers of that national pride, it is important not just to wear it as a brooch of our national self-confidence, but to wear it as an example and to remember that heroism, those actions and that humanism that we greatly lack today. “Let us remember the victims, let us honor them, let us not overlook evil! "Let us carry all those virtues that today make us feel proud, but also oblige us to act correctly, to act like humans," concluded Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov.
