From "Information Service": We did not provide the SGP with the protocols sent by the Constitutional Court, as well as their copies - 1

From "Information Service" sent to the media a position on the issue of why the materials from the recount of the election results in some of the sections were seized. Yesterday they were supposed to provide the data to the CEC. Instead, it became clear that they were requested by the Prosecutor's Office. According to NOVA sources, this happened because of a signal filed by the agency itself about missing ballots in seven of the sections.
The agency reports that they did not provide the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office with the protocols sent by the Constitutional Court, as well as their copies. The company returned to the CEC all the source documents received by the commission, which were provided by the Constitutional Court. The position also states that the “Information Service” does not have copies or originals of these protocols.

Here is the full text of the position of the “Information Service”:

In connection with the great public interest in the results of entering the data from the protocols provided by the Constitutional Court (CC) through the Central Election Commission, we specify the following:

On March 10, 2025, according to a prosecutor's file and in response to a letter received, the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office (SGP) requested from the “Information Service” to provide it with all materials on the computer processing and entry of the data from the protocols, which were sent by the Constitutional Court (CC) through the Central Election Commission.
“Information Service” did not provide the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office with the protocols sent by the Constitutional Court, as well as their copies. The company returned to the CEC all source documents received by the commission, which were provided by the Constitutional Court.
"Information Service" does not have copies or originals of these protocols.
The company provides full cooperation to all competent state institutions in connection with constitutional case 33/2024.

The "Information Service" team works with a clear awareness of the exclusive responsibility that the company bears in the process of processing the election results.

The company has been engaged in the computer processing of election data for more than 20 years and has always worked professionally, publicly and transparently.

"Information Service" recalls that according to the Electoral Code, the CEC publishes the scanned protocols before pronouncing the decision on the final results and open data in machine-readable form for all elections from 2003 to the present, which allows the data to be analyzed and verified by the participants in the elections and other external specialists. This guarantees full transparency and accuracy of the final results.

We recall that the Constitutional Court came out with sharp criticism due to the delay in the re-verification process, which could lead to a shift in power in the National Assembly. They emphasized that only the Constitutional Court can verify the legality of the elections.
