After the ball was kicked for a long time, yesterday it turned out that the prosecutor's office hid the ball from the Constitutional Court. Much greater publicity and transparency of the actions of these institutions is needed. This was stated to BNT by the expert on electoral systems and political science Dr. Vanya Nusheva, quoted by novini.bg.
„We have a problem on several levels. First - what is the video surveillance for? It is unacceptable at the final stage, after months of expert examinations, that the materials should be seized and handed over to the prosecutor's office right now, before the Constitutional Court receives them. Video surveillance is not a means of proof. It is not clear whether every ballot should be shown on camera during counting. If these things were clarified, there would be no hesitation about how to proceed”, she believes.
According to Nusheva, the delay in the Constitutional Court's decision is inexplicable.
Mathematician Prof. Mihail Konstantinov is of the opinion: “World madness is penetrating Bulgaria. I no longer see a normal institution in our country.”
”There are many reasons not to recount such a mass of ballots. The more times you count, the more times you get a different result. The materials are not stored properly”, he added.
