The statement of the Constitutional Court is unprecedented. It proves that there are dependencies in the institutions, the chairman of the parliamentary group of "Democracy, Rights and Freedoms" - DPS Dzhevdet Chakarov told journalists on the sidelines of the parliament, Novini.bg reported.
The attempts to prevent the Constitutional Court from doing its job are scandalous. They destabilize the state, undermine trust in the institutions, and put the functioning of democracy at serious risk. We insist that the competent authorities and other political forces reveal the whole truth about this case to Bulgarian citizens, as well as the reason for the prosecutor's intervention in this case, added the chairman of the parliamentary group of the MRF - MRF.
It will obviously be necessary for all political forces to unite to stop this model, which poses a serious risk to the functioning of democracy in Bulgaria, said Dzhevdet Chakarov.
We have been talking about this for months and in this regard we call for the dismantling of the "Peevski" model. Unfortunately, however, we do not see a dismantling, but an upgrading of this model. It is evident that one person exercises dependencies in a number of institutions, Chakarov said.
