The entire parliamentary group of "Continuing the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" left the plenary hall during the debates on the vote of no confidence against the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet.
The party explained that they did not want to participate in a "poorly presented circus".
"Currently, a group of pro-Russian parties are wasting parliamentary time. We are witnessing who is a bigger fan of Putin or who is closer to Orban. This is not in the national interest. Bulgaria's national interest is to be at the center of Europe," commented Nadezhda Yordanova.
"Now is not the time or occasion to demand a vote of no confidence," said Nikolay Denkov.
"When Bulgaria is accepted into the eurozone, where the most important decisions are made. When we gather the motives, which will include the budget, the cases in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the crimes that are being covered up, then we will state our arguments," he added.
