The motorcyclist who hit a 6-year-old child and his grandmother in Sofia has been arrested, bTV reported. He fled the scene – pedestrian path on Blvd. “Geshov“.
The perpetrator is 19 years old, his alcohol and drug tests were negative. The accident happened on Tuesday shortly after 7 p.m. on the footpath in front of the hospital “St. Ivan Rilski“.
The woman and the child were crossing at a green traffic light. They were taken by the Emergency Service to “Pirogov”.
The 6-year-old girl has an abdominal injury and suspected concussion, and her 67-year-old grandmother – with a head injury and suspected concussion.
The child was released for home treatment, and the woman was left for treatment in the hospital's trauma department.
Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated on the case.
