Russian ultra-nationalist ideologue Alexander Dugin, often identified as Putin's ideologue, published a message on the social network "X" (X), in which he says that “Romania will soon be part of Russia”.
„Where could the vigilantes or the Democratic elite flee from the US? In Canada? (Canadian Prime Minister Justin) Trudeau was recently in Mar a Lago. Israel? There is a war there. London, Paris, Dubai? That's where the Russian liberals ran. Or Moldova? Soon Moldova will be part of Romania. But Romania will be part of Russia”, Dugin wrote, and a little later he added: “Maybe Australia or New Zealand are safer places now. Europe may fall or fall into the hands of right-wing populists. Or be seriously damaged by Oreshnik (note. ed. the name of a Russian medium-range missile)”.
The reaction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania did not slow down.
„So predictable! After Romanians proudly celebrated their Unification Day the other day, we were reminded that Russia does not recognize the Unification. This was done so reluctantly, under the combined effect of Romanian sovereign will and pressure from Western powers. The same thing will make Russia fail again”, also wrote on the social network “X” one of the spokesmen of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania.
Alexander Dugin's message was spread by several politicians of the “Union for the Salvation of Romania” on the social network Facebook, including from the first deputy chairman of the party Dominique Fritz.
“Dugin is the same person who said a few days ago about (independent Romanian presidential candidate) Calin Georgescu that he is an excellent candidate who is useful for Russia," Fritz noted.
Vlad Voiculescu, leader of the “Union for the Salvation of Romania” in Bucharest, described Dugin's announcement as shocking.
„If you want to know what awaits you... Comrade Dugin formulated what comrade Calin Georgescu has not yet formulated publicly: „We, the conservatives, want a strong and solid state, we want order. We want patriotic radio and television, patriotic experts, patriotic clubs. We want the media to express national interests”. Just like in the communist era, according to them, the state subordinates everything to the Kremlin's propaganda and interests. In 2014 Dugin was fired from Moscow State University after he said of the Ukrainians: “Kill them, kill them, kill them.“ "Extremist is a soft term for such individuals," Voikolescu commented on Facebook.
Alexander Dugin was born on January 7, 1962. and is a Russian geopolitician, philosopher, sociologist and politician, recalls the Romanian publication Digi24. He is known for his views, considered fascist, and has had close ties to the Kremlin and the Russian military, which is why he has been called an ideologue of Putin. He is also the chairman of the Eurasian Party - a movement that advocates the construction of a Eurasian superstate capable of opposing American hegemony.
