The court left Krasimira Trifonova, accused together with her daughter Gabriela Slavova of the murder of Peyo Peev, in custody.
She requested a change in her measure of “detention in custody“. Trifonova has been in custody for 13 months now, and according to her lawyer Dimitar Valkov, she was deteriorating mentally.
“The murderers want to kill me“, Krasimira told the court.
“I want to be at home, not in a hospital. There they beat me and tied me up in the basement“
Her lawyer claims to have “data“ about sexual harassment of his client, “24 Chasa“ reported.
“One of the experts committed an assault on her body and health”, he said.
The court also allowed Krasimira's mother – Tona Trifonova to be questioned.
“Right now, it seems like I don't see my daughter, but another person. She's inadequate. She asks me questions – who I am and why I came to her. She asks me where her father is, and he's dead. She collapsed in custody last Friday when I went to visit her. She's not the same Krasimira I gave birth to and raised. She has mental disorders. We see each other twice a month. Every time there is a change in the negative attitude. It is not normal“, added the elderly woman.
According to the magistrates, however, Krasimira is sane and can be held responsible for the crime she committed. There was still a danger that she would hide abroad, given the contacts she had established abroad some time ago, as well as that she would influence witnesses in the case. There was also a possibility that she would commit a new crime if she were released.
