The "Big Lebowski" actor Jeff Bridges shed some light on how he currently maintains his optimism and positive mental status while participating in another episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!“, CNN reported.

“I was as disappointed as you were,” Bridges said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, talking about the results of the US election last week. He added that he is still sad about what happened..

"I have to be brave while dealing with this. "So I'm looking for a community that shares my dream of what the world could be, and I'm doing everything I can to create that dream," Bridges said.

To that end, Bridges spoke about Share Our Strength, an organization that helps “children, families and communities through its No Kid Hungry campaign – and works on the root causes of hunger to create more financial security for families," the organization's website says.

As a national spokesperson for the No Kid Hungry campaign, Bridges said she feels her advocacy work is a calling.

Bridges recalled the US Coast Guard motto, “Semper Paratus“, which means “always prepared“ or “always ready”, which he learned when he served as a member of the reserve from 1967 to 1975.

With that motto in mind, Bridges said he thought about how he could be prepared during these times.

„It's part of life. You have ups and downs, hits and misses,” he said, making an apparent reference to “The Big Lebowski”, the famous film in which he starred. “This is how we spin while we are alive.“
