To achieve your goal, you start wanting everything. You aim to appear even unreasonable. You want everything, from everyone, immediately. Then, however, achieving your true goal, which is somewhere in the middle between your current situation and your announced demand, becomes possible. You want everything to get what you want. The Art of the Deal.

Trump has been on the field for 40 years. He has written numerous books, articles, given hundreds of thousands of interviews. For a decade, he has been part of the biggest political game on the planet. He has been studied in details that are impossible for any other person on the planet. There are literally reporters who know his personal history in more detail than he remembers.

Yet, the very cornerstone of his public demeanor, what he described as early as 1987 as “The Art of the Deal,” remains a complete mystery to his opponents. He can do it to you three times a day, and you’ll be caught off guard and shocked every time.

It’s the same tiresome news cycle. Trump proposes something. The liberal media and commentators jump at the chance to explain how incompetent the orange man is. Suddenly, Trump achieves some goal of his own and withdraws or softens his original proposal that outraged liberals. They look around like a rabbit with a stomachache in alfalfa and watch in shock as Trump achieves his goals. And so on.

Everyone. God’s. Way. I would learn to walk faster than it takes you to remember what's going on.
