Legendary Brazilian striker Ronaldo has bitterly recalled his transfer from Barcelona to Inter after a fantastic 1996/97 season, in which he scored 47 goals in 49 games for the Catalans in all competitions. Ronaldo revealed this on the YouTube channel of his compatriot Romario, who is also a former Barca star, reports sportal.bg.
„Barcelona and the Brazilians have always parted ways on bad terms. I had a spectacular season and had agreed on my new contract, but five days later they told me that it was not possible for me to stay and sold me to Inter. It was a real punch in the gut, I loved the city. Rivaldo left because of a dispute, the same goes for Ronaldinho and Neymar. "Look at the history that Barcelona has created with so many successful Brazilians, but in the end the relationships deteriorate and things end very badly," commented the Phenomenon.
