The Russian plane "Sukhoi Superjet" 100 crashed in the area of the city of Kolomna in the Moscow region, near the village of Bolshoe Karasyovo. The plane had been in the air for more than an hour before the crash, having issued a distress call. The accident occurred during a test flight after scheduled maintenance and there were no passengers on board. When the plane hit the ground, it exploded and caught fire, reports TASS.
The plane took off from Lukhovsky - Tretyakovo Airport and was supposed to land at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport. There was only a three-member crew on board, including pilots Yevgeny Bulavko, Maxim Lukmanov and steward Vladislav Kharlamov, all of whom died. According to the operational services, the cause of the crash may be engine failure. No one on the ground was hurt
The aircraft was manufactured in 2014 and was used by "Gazpromavia". Until the time of the accident, he was making commercial flights, and his last flight was on May 3, 2024. The investigation of the incident will be conducted by the Interstate Aviation Committee with the participation of specialists from "Rosaviation".
Investigators and forensic experts were sent to the scene of the accident, as well as the head of "Rosaviatsia" Dmitry Yadrov.
