The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Christodoulides, expressed relief that former US President Donald Trump was not seriously injured in the assassination attempt and described the incident as politically motivated violence. The head of the island nation expressed his attitude to the incident in Pennsylvania on X (formerly Twitter).

He emphasized that “politically motivated violence must always be unequivocally condemned and has no place in democratic societies".

The assassination attempt on Trump took place on July 13 during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. The former president has a minor injury, his life is not in danger. The shooting killed one of Trump's supporters. The attacker was eliminated by the Secret Service.
