< p>Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister and former head of the National Intelligence Service, Aleksandar Vulin, called on the responsible authorities to strengthen security measures around the head of state, Aleksandar Vucic, and his family members, amid the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump.< /span>
„I call on the responsible services of Serbia to strengthen security measures for President Aleksandar Vucic and his family. Too often attempts are made through media pressure to force them to abandon the protection of the state and become an even easier target, Vulin was quoted as saying in a statement released by the Socialist Movement party, of which he is the leader.
"In just a few months, there was an assassination attempt on the Prime Minister [of Slovakia] Robert Fico, the death of the Iranian president and an assassination attempt on former [US President Donald] Trump. It is no coincidence that they all spoke or advocated for a different world order and for peace in Ukraine. Let [Serbian President Aleksandar] Vucic and everyone who has the courage to fight for freedom prepare themselves. The attempt to assassinate former President Trump is an expression of permitted and encouraged hatred, the same hatred that is maintained and freely expressed towards Aleksandar Vucic and Serbia”, noted the Deputy Prime Minister.
Vucic, in connection with the assassination attempt on Trump, emphasized that freedom-loving leaders of various countries who defend a point of view different from the majority will increasingly become targets. He also spoke out against violence as a form of political struggle and stressed that the assassination attempt on Trump would allow the American to become even stronger.
