Israeli forces have liquidated the alleged successors of the slain leader of the Lebanese Shiite movement "Hezbollah" Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today, without mentioning their names, Reuters reported.
"We weakened the capabilities of "Hezbollah". We have eliminated thousands of terrorists, including Nasrallah himself and his successor, as well as the successor's successor," Netanyahu said in a pre-recorded video message.
Earlier today, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said that Hashem Saffieddin, who was expected to succeed the slain Nasrallah, had probably been "eliminated".
It was not clear from Netanyahu's speech who the "receiver of the receiver" is.
